देहरादून : मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने शनिवार को सेलाकुई स्थित सेलाकुई इंटरनेशनल स्कूल के वार्षिकोत्सव में प्रतिभाग करते हुए कहा कि हमारी संस्कृति में शिक्षा ग्रहण करने का अर्थ केवल किताबी ज्ञान अर्जित करने तक सीमित नहीं है। यह एक ऐसी यात्रा है जिसमें हम स्वयं के और अपने अस्तित्व की खोज करते हैं। एक व्यक्ति के रूप में हमारे सर्वांगीण विकास और हमारे समाज के निर्माण में शिक्षा सबसे महत्वपूर्ण तत्व है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने छात्रों का आह्वान किया कि जीवन का लक्ष्य तय करें। पढ़ाई की उम्र लौटती नहीं है। जीवन में विकल्प रहित संकल्प के साथ आगे बढ़ने का प्रयास करें, यदि हमारे संकल्प में विकल्प आयेगा तो हमारे सपने हमसे दूर हो जायेंगे। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि युवा छात्र जीवन में जिस भी क्षेत्र में जायें उसमें अपनी नेतृत्व क्षमता का बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने का प्रयास करें।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के आह्वान पर आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव के तहत हर घर तिरंगा अभियान के साथ आजादी के पहले और आजादी के बाद देश के लिये अपना योगदान देने वालों के सम्मान के साथ देश ने जो उपलब्धियां हासिल की उनका स्मरण करने का अभियान चलाया गया। अब हम आजादी की शताब्दी की ओर बढ़ रहे हैं। हमारे युवा छात्रों को अमृत काल का मिशन योगी बनना है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि शिक्षा हर बच्चे का मौलिक अधिकार है और हम सभी का ये प्रयास होना चाहिए कि कोई भी बालक शिक्षा से वंचित ना रह पाए। सरकार इस दिशा में अपने स्तर पर अनेकों कार्यक्रम चला रही है और हमारे इन प्रयासों में निजी स्कूल भी बढ़-चढ़ कर सहयोग दे रहे हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हम अपना कल कैसा चाहते हैं इसके लिए हमें अपने आज पर ध्यान देना होगा। हमारा भविष्य कैसा होगा, यह हमारा वर्तमान तय करेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि सेलाकुई इंटरनेशनल स्कूल में आज उस भविष्य को गढ़ा जा रहा है जो कल के उत्कृष्ट उत्तराखंड और नए भारत का आधार बनेगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि सेलाकुई इंटरनेशनल स्कूल आने वाले दिनों भी शिक्षा को एक नए स्तर पर ले जाकर राष्ट्र निर्माण के लिए छात्रों की निर्माणशाला के रूप में विख्यात होगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने स्कूल की पुस्तिका का विमोचन करने के साथ ही स्कूल के मेधावी छात्र-छात्राओं को ब्लू ब्लेजर भी प्रदान किया।
स्कूल के चेयरमैन ओम पाठक ने आभार व्यक्त किया तथा प्रधानाचार्य राशिद शरफुद्दीन ने स्कूल के क्रियाकलापों की जानकारी प्रस्तुत की। इस अवसर पर अश्वनी मेहरा आदि सहित बड़ी संख्या में अभिभावक और छात्र-छात्रायें उपस्थित थे।
